Nomination Process and Form
 
The Saint Mark’s Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding athletes, coaches, teams, and others who through their achievements have brought honor to themselves, our school and the community. Recognizing these individuals contributes to the success, foundation and future of Saint Mark’s athletics.
 
The purpose of Saint Mark’s Athletic Hall of Fame is fourfold: 
  • Recognize and honor individuals and/or teams who have achieved excellence through athletics;
  • Establish in the hearts and minds of our students a motivating influence to excel;
  • Foster pride and preserve good sportsmanship, scholarship and citizenship in the Saint Mark’s community; and
  • Strengthen alumni ties to Saint Mark’s.
Any alumni or friend of Saint Mark’s may submit a nominee from the following criteria:
Athletes: Former Saint Mark’s athletes who performed with excellence in a varsity sport. Must be a graduate and out of Saint Mark’s High School for at least five (5) years. Nominees must be or have been a credit to their family, community and Saint Mark’s.
Coaches: A nominee must have been a coach who has distinguished himself/herself demonstrating exceptional leadership, character and coaching achievement during his or her stay at Saint Mark’s. Nominees must have either retired from teaching altogether or have been retired from Saint Mark’s coaching for five (5) years.
Special Award: A person who has been a loyal and devoted supporter of Saint Mark’s athletics who has made a significant contribution to Saint Mark’s athletics.
Team Award: A Saint Mark’s team may be nominated for the Hall of Fame. All team members must have been removed from Saint Mark's as athletes for at least five (5) years. In nominating a team, place the name, address and email of a member of the team on the “Candidate Name” line so that he/she may be contacted for additional information.
A committee comprised of Saint Mark’s alumni and individuals that have made a significant impact on the Saint Mark’s sports community will review the nominations and determine those to be inducted. Nominees not selected will remain on the selection list for a period of ten years.
All nominations must be submitted by September 4, 2023.  Those selected for induction into the Saint Mark’s Athletic Hall of Fame will be notified by Homecoming. This year’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on February 9, 2024.
